Al Sabah Hospital is among the first and the biggest health project accomplished by the health ministry. Its construction and commissioning took 2 years before it was under the sponsorship of late Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on June 20,1961.This whole project cost 4 million sterling pounds in the era of Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah. Its include 506 beds with ability to increase by 5 beds for each 1000 population. It was serving 120 thousand patients population with a staff of 60 Doctors and 300 nursing staff.

Al Sabah Hospital has expanded its departments to give its quality services and facilities to the patient and this new hospital was offers highly specialized medical services to people within and outside Kuwait, providing good medical care for patient.
